Measure your deck's length and width in feet. Enter board width in inches (5.5 in for standard 6-inch boards) and the gap between boards (usually 1/4 in). The calculator divides deck area by the coverage of one board row, adds your waste percentage, and estimates screws at roughly 350 per 100 square feet.
