Measure the length and width of your bed in feet and decide mulch depth (2–4 inches is typical; 3 inches suppresses most weeds). Volume = length × width × depth ÷ 12 in cubic feet, then ÷ 27 for cubic yards. Standard bags hold 2 or 3 cubic feet — the calculator shows both.
